So what would you do if you went from being the # 1 disc jockey in town to being the media punching bag for a not so well thought out incident that caused you to be ousted from the morning show you work so hard to make #1.

Would you give up and hope for acceptance in a new community? Or would you endure the scrutiny of others, and wait patiently for an opportunity to reemerge in the city that once adopted you as their beloved illegitimate son.

I am not sure what I would had done, if I had to embrace that reality, but for Mr. Andrew Zepeda (Andrew Z) his reality was simple; be who he always has been.

Z was off the air for a little more than 7 months and some change, but to those social butterflies such as myself (Twitter:Jayikemp) Z seem to be relevant as ever. From his hilarious Facebook updates, Tweets, and YouTube videos, Z remain the person we all grew to love on Kiss FM.

In fact, I am pretty sure his popularity increase! Z has an amazing ability to be himself in spite of his misfortune, mistakes, and “haters” as Z like’s to refer to them as.

The first time I meant Z I was nervous, I did not know what to expect, I had an idea as to who he was, but I was still uncertain as to who I was about to meet. But after meeting his morning show team and polite as ever wife, I knew this guy was not going to be another Jive Turkey (LOL).

And my assumption was right; Z has been very understanding, intrusting, and an all around silly dude that allows for people to be themselves around him without judgment. That’s why I know Cumulus stole a gem off the free agent pool when they hired Z to be the face of their morning radio show on Toledo’s Vibe 100.7 FM.

Z is himself regardless of criticism, opinion, and mockery, the guy that had me denounce my allegiance to the Tom Joyner Morning Show some odd years ago is the same guy I listen to now when I am in Toledo, simply because he is awesome at what he does and his consistency is impeccable.

Z I wish you the best bro, and please do not open no more pizzeria’s, I was thinking maybe a Rib & Seafood joint, since you are developing a strong black following!
