Why?

I think the hardest thing that one has to deal with when dealing with a break up is the "why"? I think why is the single most important question the person who is getting broke up with would like to know, not who, not when, but whys?
Consider the why as a performance evaluation so that the devastated parry can either find peace or correct their performance
for the next relationship he/she embark upon. But for some odd reason shy seems to be the hardest question for the other party to disclose, sure they can rant on about poor tendencies they have noticed about you, but they can almost never tell you the real reason as to why.
Was it finances, was it the sex, was it my mother, what, what was it? Answering this question does not nescerially need to be answer in order to break up with someone, but yet in still it would be appreciated.
