Warning Ladies, These Little Girls Are Giving You A Bad Name …

Sometimes we blow things off and say it is just a trend, a fade, the new thing to do, but then there are times when something becomes a fixture in our life, part of our society, and sadly the old trend that is becoming a part of our life is these little girls who are putting themselves in position to be exploit by sick, twisted, perverted men who wish nothing more than to use and abuse them.

I was watching MSNBC last weekend and was struck by the craigslist sex game that is exploiting our youth, your child, and my niece. Little girls are selling themselves for profit! Giving away the very essence of their women hood for a few dollars to some man who needs to volunteer his nasty ass to the sex offender registry, I knew society was sick in general but what has gone so horribly wrong where these little girls glorify prostitution instead of working a job at McDonald’s?

I know people (parents) are quick to blame MTV and BET for the actions of their children, but with these networks converting over to reality shows and doing away with once popular programming like TRL and Rap City The Basement, who can they really point the finger at now? Our daughters are not being force in to sexually acts (some still are) with older men like they once were, now they are managing themselves and selling their goods as a career, much, much, younger then imagine, and for what, hair extensions, trendy clothes, the latest gadget?

Who is to blame for the actions of these children? I am not the 1 to pry into someone else business, but if I see a man beating or laying a hand on another woman in front of me, he is going to have to beat me before he gets back to her. So why is it not the same for these little girls? We all have turned the blind eye to a relative being neglectful and unintentionally harming a child by not doing something to prevent that child from turning that corner, but that time has pass, when our families going to be responsible for their families and not just their immediate families?

I dare someone to Google “child prostitution in Oakland, Detroit, Toledo (yup it is here) and not be heart broken by the sick and disgusted mess circulating around the world. If we do not protect these children, inform these ladies, guide these young men, and acknowledge who we are and what role we play in the development of a child’s life well then I don’t know what to say, but serious ladies, watch these young girls, influence these girls, they don’t need to think that there self-worth is inside of some Gucci bag, or gold locket, all that is superficial, let them know they are golden!
